4 day cruise to cozumel

Since it was Good Friday, I decided to take a 4 day cruise to Cozumel.  The cruise ship was Carnival Triumph and it sails out of Galveston, TX.   I have been on a lot of cruise ships before.  However, this is the first time I’ve been on Carnival.  I usually go on Royal Caribbean.  I must say that I’ve heard bad reviews about Carnival so I was skeptical at first.  It ended up being such a great cruise and trip over all!  I will say Royal Caribbean is a lot classier and calmer but, Carnival parties and parties hard!  Therefore, if you are looking for a classy cruise to relax and more family oriented, then go on Royal Caribbean.  But if you are trying to go have some fun, I definitely recommend Carnival.  I have underestimated Carnival all this time!  Overall, Royal Caribbean is a way better cruise but who doesn’t like to have some fun?
The cruise ship offered various activities. During the day and early afternoon everyone wanted to party at the pool.  They had a live DJ and they had competitions.  Everyone was dancing and having genuinely a good time.  They had competitions such as mixology and hairy chest.  Which they were a lot of fun!  They also had nightly shows, live bands, Karaoke, a nightclub, a comedy show and of course the casino.  Triumph is not a huge ship since it is only for short sailings. But, for 4 or 5 days is doable.

The food was actually not bad at all.  They had a lot of different options so if you weren’t a fan of one thing then you could go try something else. On top of that, room service was included and it was opened 24/7.  One of the nights was elegant night and it was really nice to see people dressed up.  However, some people were dressed up more than others.  I guess when I think elegant night I think gown and bow ties.  But when others think elegant night they think business attire.

Overall, the cruise ship was a great experience.  But we can all agree that inconsiderate people are the worst! If you want to know the 5 things that I hate about inconsiderate people on the cruise ship click here.  They truly irritate my nerves.

The port stop at Cozumel was approximately 6 hours.  From what I remember, port stops are usually 8 hours so this definitely was short to me. But I enjoyed every single second!  I went to Mr. Sanchos and I absolutely loved it.  They offered an all-inclusive package which included unlimited food and unlimited alcohol.  It was the best thing ever!  The food was amazing, especially the ceviche.  The drinks were amazing and they were pretty strong.  Thank you Carlos for such a wonderful service!
Mr. Sanchos offered various amenities and I truly recommend this place.   I was able to ride an ATV in the jungle which was extremely cool. I also drove a jet-ski and fell 3 times, the waves knocked me over.  But it was awesome!  I was also supposed to ride horses on the beach but I ran out of time.  I will definitely be going back to Mr. Sanchos on my next trip to Cozumel.

Cozumel is a beautiful island and I truly enjoyed visiting my country.  I wish that people didn’t judge Mexico the way they do.  It truly is a beautiful country with some not so pretty places.
