On Saturday, we went to Tommy Bahama’s located in The Woodlands, Texas. I have never been a huge fan of this restaurant; I think is a bit pricey for the type food they serve and their food is average. But, they do have wonderful customer service and a great atmosphere. However, I love going for happy hour. I am a fan of a good happy hour spot and Tommy Bahama’s is one of them. They have awesome small plates and drinks for a great price. If you are there for a bite, I recommend their fish tacos. They are completely delicious. If you are a fan of goat cheese, they have an exquisite one there. I was not able to take pictures of the food this time and I am sorry I cannot show you. Why did I not take pictures? Well, we were at the bar watching the Texas A&M vs. Alabama game. There was a man, by himself, sitting next to us with a Texas A&M shirt. He seemed a bit down since Texas A&M was doing horrible. We started holding a conversation with him and we ended up having a lot in common. The conversation was great and we continued to talk to him while we were eating. I did not want to be rude and interrupt by taking pictures of the food. Therefore, that is the real reason why I did not take pictures. Nevertheless, he was about to leave and before he left we finally were able to exchange names. I asked for my tab while he was paying and the bartender blew me off. Next thing I know, the man sitting next to us to us said “nice meeting y’all” and he walked off. Then the bartender told us that the man had paid for our tab. He literally paid for our ENTIRE TAB and I was in complete shock. I kept thinking to myself over and over why he would do such thing. Honestly, I still have not been able to determine the reason. But I know one thing, I will never forget his name and I am so grateful for his kind gesture. That means that is my turn to return the favor to someone when they least expected. It was such an amazing feeling to know that people that generous still exist. It was truly a heartwarming moment that I will never forget.
Have you ever experienced a kind of gesture like this? Or have you ever been the one to do it?
