Where do I begin? St. Thomas was such a wonderful experience. I’ve been to St. Thomas several times, but only by cruise. This time it was different as I decided to stay in St. Thomas for 5 days. I stayed at the Frenchman's Reef & Morning Star Marriott Beach Resort. It was an amazing resort and I had a wonderful experience. They had several pools, restaurants, bars and different amenities. The hotel had everything you can possibly think of. This hotel is a very large property, so be prepare to walk.
During my trip, I visited different attractions. I went to Coral World Ocean Park which was decent. Honestly, I didn’t like it at all and they had iguanas everywhere. You could not even eat without them bothering you! However, the reason I went to Coral World was to swim with the Sea Lions. Swimming with the Sea Lions was such an awesome experience and I recommend it. I was able to cross something off my bucket list. I also went to the Magic Ice Museum. It was a pretty cool museum and very different from the usual. The museum was made of ice with various ice sculptures. They also had a full bar made of ice which was awesome. Inside of the museum, they also had a small ice slide which was pretty neat. In order to go inside, they give you a coat, gloves and leg warmers. Another experience during my stay was night kayak with LED lights. I thought it would be pretty cool to kayak at night. We were told we would experience marine life and I did not see one fish. Therefore, I do not recommend this and I feel like it was a waste of money. But hey, at least I can say I did it.
FYI- Although you do not require a passport, you will have to go through Customs on your way out. So make sure you bring your I.D and birth certificate if you are a citizen. If you are not a citizen, you can bring your Visa or your legal paperwork status along with your passport. Just make sure you remain in the United States Virgin Islands.
