I am from Culiacan, Sinaloa, Mexico and I am 27 years old. I graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and my concentration is Entrepreneurship.
I am not sure when I became so eager to travel. Maybe it was the fact my parents exposed me to it during my child hood? Perhaps the fact that I went to an all girls boarding school and met people from all over the world? How about because I am an adventurous person? Or maybe that I love food so much I rather try it in the city/country of origin. But most importantly, I want to see the world with my own eyes and not through pictures or books. I want to be able to experience other cultures and their way of living.
I am not your typical travel blogger since I am a full-time employee. Most stories you hear, are about people that quit their job and went off to see the world. Well in my case, I only get to travel during holidays and my vacation time. Firstly, I work every Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm. I work in Human Resources for an Oil & Gas company. I have to be at work as much as I can because my position requires it. On top of that, I truly love my career and I am devoted to my profession. Do you wonder how I make it work? Let me share the sacrifices I must do to make my trips happen. I try to travel once a month and they are normally just long weekend vacations. I literally have to come to work at 5am just to try and catch a flight the same day in the early afternoon. Therefore, when I come to work, my suitcase is in the car. When I purchase my return flight, I try and book a red-eye to spend as much as I can in that city. I always come to work straight from the airport. Traveling and coming straight to work is the worst part ever. I am usually beyond tired and I just want to go home and go to sleep. But in order to travel and make my vacations worthwhile, I revolve my traveling around my work hours. While I have not been able to travel outside my continent since I started working, I will continue to tap all of the states in the United States and Mexico.
This blog is dedicated to people like YOU. People that are not able to do what they want because there isn't enough time in their hands. Individuals whose life consists of work and it is hard to have a life outside of that. Trust me, I know what you are going through. But my advice to you is to always follow your dreams. At the end of the day, determination is the key to your success. I am here to show you that it is possible to accomplish something you love by staying persistent. I am just a regular person like you trying to see what this world has to offer.
I want you all to come share this journey with me.
